We’re back at Glastonbury 2015 with a star-studded cast! Our S5000 5V returns as the Sonic Stage for a third summer; and you can our iconic S5 Concert is starring as the Arc Bar of Arcadia.
If you’ve been to Glastonbury Festival in recent years, you’ll have no doubt partied under the vast canopy of the Sonic Stage. That’s our colossal S5000 5V structure, which over the last two years has truly established itself as the centerpiece of the festival’s Silver Hayes dance area.
And we’re excited to be bringing the S5000 SV back to Glastonbury for a third year in 2015. Having been involved in the festival in one capacity or another since the 1990s, it’s the culmination of an amazing journey to now provide one of our biggest structures for Glastonbury’s legendary dance field.
Fitted with a futuristic silver skin, the 5V configuration is a three-pronged star when viewed from above. Every side of this structure – bar the backstage – has been opened up to allow multiple entry points and clear sightlines to the stage. The structure is configured in a ‘V’ format to help maximize crowd flow through the arena.
As well as our S5000 5V in Silver Hayes, our S5 Concert will return as the iconic Arc Bar of Arcadia. The sweeping arc that houses Arcadia’s main bar has become synonymous with the district.
With the Dalai Lama rumoured and Lionel Richie featuring on the bill for 2015, it’s going to be an interesting year: spiritual awakenings and sexual healing all round! And there’s a mystery headliner still to be announced. Rumours have been circulating about everyone from Queen to Pink Floyd to Rihanna – who will it be?
