Smashbox Cosmetics are world renowned for their beauty products so when they decided to transpose their famous L.A studio to a festival environment for the first time ever, Silver Stage were on hand to make it happen. Utilising our S2000 TriSpan and settling on the Lovebox Festival in London’s Victoria Park as the venue of choice, the temporary Smashbox studio was undoubtedly a huge success. With many festival goers finding the pull of a full makeover at a festival too hard to resist, it isn’t hard to see why either.
Key to the success of this Smashbox exclusive was the studio itself, in this case our S2 Trispan. With its beautiful curves and spacious interior, we always knew this was going to be a match made in heaven. Smashbox’s famous L.A studio vibe was lovingly recreated inside the elegant curvature of the S2000.
Individuals were able to visit the studio for complimentary makeovers from expert makeup artists, before a fully integrated social media suite allowed them to share their photos. The scale and layout of the S2 Tri allowed Smashbox to incorporate the photo studio along with the makeup studio in one venue. The social media activity saw the S2 viewed by hundreds of thousands via Twitter and Facebook.
Smashbox at Lovebox is a glowing example of how versatile our structures are and the huge variety of functions they can serve. Far from being limited to stages at festivals, Silver Stage’s event structures offer the chance to let your imagination run wild and create whatever you want to create inside them, from festival bars like the Arc Bar to smaller VIP areas and temporary sound booths. Creating a makeup and photo studio on the site of a popular London based festival was a first for Smashbox and a first for us too, but it shows that there really is no limit to what you can do with a Silver Stage structure.
